- Session-I and Session-II are compulsory.

SSC MTS Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks separately in Session-I and Session-II.

SSC MTS Merit List Rules
The following rules are used while preparing the merit list:
- The candidate’s performance in Session-I is evaluated first.
- Session-II is evaluated only if the candidate qualifies in Session-I.
- Session-I is qualifying in nature.
- The final merit list is prepared solely based on normalized marks obtained in Session-II.
- Separate category-wise and State or Union Territory-wise cut-offs may be fixed for MTS.
- Separate cut-offs may also be prepared for the 18–25 years and 18–27 years age groups.
- Havaldar candidates must qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test.
