RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 734 Posts

Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, Ministry of Railways, has released Notice No. A-1/2026 for the engagement of 734 Act Apprentices for training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Eligible candidates can apply online for nine notified ITI trades.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10th Class examination or equivalent under the 10+2 examination system from a recognized Board.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation is required.
  • Candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Training Period & Stipend

The training period and stipend will be governed by the applicable rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time.

Important: Apprenticeship training does not confer any right to regular employment in Railways after completion of training. Hostel accommodation will not be provided.

Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of merit. No written examination is prescribed in the notification.

  1. Merit list based on the simple average of Matriculation percentage and ITI marks in the relevant trade.
  2. If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred.
  3. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification / scrutiny.
  5. Final engagement will be subject to verification of original certificates and prescribed medical fitness.

Candidates should keep the following documents ready for application and later verification, as applicable:

  1. 10th / Matriculation certificate and marksheet
  2. ITI / National Trade Certificate in the relevant notified trade
  3. Recent passport-size colour photograph in the prescribed format
  4. Scanned signature in the prescribed format

  6. OBC certificate and Non-Creamy Layer certificate, if applicable
  7. PWD certificate, if applicable
  8. Ex-Servicemen / Armed Forces supporting certificate, if applicable

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Enter your name, father’s name and date of birth exactly as recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate.
  • Use an active mobile number and valid email ID throughout the engagement process.
  • Do not submit multiple applications with different particulars; such applications may be rejected.
  • Keep the registration number and a printout of the submitted application safely.
  • Enrollment with the Employment Exchange is required as stated in the notification, except for wards of RCF/Kapurthala employees.
  • Candidates called for document verification should carry the prescribed medical fitness certificate issued by an authorized Government doctor.
  • No hostel accommodation is provided during training.
