12वीं BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting पुणे में आयोजित
भारत की BRICS Chairship 2026 के तहत 21 अगस्त को पुणे, महाराष्ट्र में 12th BRICS Communications Ministers’ Meeting आयोजित हुई। इसकी अध्यक्षता केंद्रीय संचार मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य एम. सिंधिया ने की। ICT Track का theme “Innovate, Cooperate and Transform (ICT) for a Resilient Future” रखा गया।
इस theme के चार प्रमुख pillars हैं—sustainable and resilient digital/ICT ecosystems, cybersecurity and trustworthy ICT, digital skilling and capacity building, तथा innovation, startups and entrepreneurship. Meeting में Digital Public Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, future network technologies और inclusive digital connectivity पर भी जोर दिया गया।
BRICS Tourism Ministers ने Jaipur Declaration अपनाया
21 अगस्त को Jaipur में BRICS Tourism Ministers’ Meeting का समापन BRICS Tourism Ministers’ Communiqué 2026 यानी Jaipur Declaration को अपनाने के साथ हुआ। बैठक की अध्यक्षता केंद्रीय Culture and Tourism Minister गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने की।
Jaipur Declaration में चार प्रमुख priorities रखी गईं—Artificial Intelligence and Tourism, Sustainability and Responsible Tourism, Tourism Skilling and Capacity Building, तथा Tourism Exchanges and Seamless Travel Facilitation। Meeting में नौ BRICS member states ने भाग लिया।
14वीं BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation Ministerial Meeting चेन्नई में
21 अगस्त को Chennai में 14th BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ministerial Meeting शुरू हुई। केंद्रीय विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी राज्य मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने इसका inaugural address दिया।
भारत की BRICS Presidency 2026 का overarching theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability” है। बैठक में AI, quantum technologies, biotechnology, photonics, geospatial technologies और high-performance computing जैसी emerging technologies पर जोर दिया गया।
India और Brazil ने Telecommunications एवं ICT पर MoU किया
12वीं BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting के sidelines पर India और Brazil ने telecommunications और Information & Communication Technologies में cooperation बढ़ाने के लिए MoU किया। भारत की ओर से Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia और Brazil की ओर से Communications Minister Frederico de Siqueira Filho ने agreement किया।
MoU का उद्देश्य digital innovation, digital infrastructure, research, emerging communication technologies तथा international telecom forums में cooperation को मजबूत करना है।
India-UK की 25वीं Defence Consultative Group Meeting
New Delhi में 25th India-UK Defence Consultative Group (DCG) Meeting आयोजित हुई। Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh और UK के Permanent Under Secretary for Defence Jeremy Pocklington ने meeting की सह-अध्यक्षता की।
दोनों देशों ने India-UK Vision 2035 और Ten-Year Defence Industrial Roadmap के तहत defence industrial cooperation, R&D, joint exercises, training और capacity building बढ़ाने पर चर्चा की। Indo-Pacific में Regional Maritime Security Centre of Excellence से जुड़े cooperation का भी उल्लेख किया गया।
14वीं India-Nepal Joint Working Group Meeting Dehradun में
14th India-Nepal Joint Working Group Meeting 20–21 अगस्त 2026 को Dehradun में आयोजित हुई और 21 अगस्त को सम्पन्न हुई। यह दोनों देशों के बीच institutional bilateral engagement का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है।
SSB के ₹189 करोड़ के Projects का Siliguri में उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने Siliguri में Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) के headquarters पर विभिन्न projects का उद्घाटन और foundation stone laying किया। News on AIR के अनुसार projects की कुल लागत लगभग ₹189 करोड़ है।
SSB को Nepal और Bhutan के साथ भारत की open international borders की guarding की जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। Siliguri Corridor को strategic security के लिहाज से विशेष महत्व दिया गया।
Supreme Court ने Judicial Service Exam के लिए Practice Requirement घटाई
Supreme Court ने entry-level judicial service examinations में शामिल होने वाले law graduates के लिए mandatory legal practice requirement को पहले के तीन वर्ष से घटाकर एक वर्ष कर दिया। यह Court के May 2025 verdict में modification है।
निर्णय Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice A.G. Masih और Justice K. Vinod Chandran की Bench ने 2:1 split decision में दिया।
JP Nadda ने H1N1 Influenza Preparedness की समीक्षा की
केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री JP Nadda ने 21 अगस्त को देश में H1N1 Influenza की स्थिति और preparedness की समीक्षा की, जिसमें National Capital पर विशेष focus रहा। Review में Influenza-like Illness (ILI), Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), laboratory surveillance और hospital preparedness शामिल रहे।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने vigilance, early detection, timely testing तथा पर्याप्त beds, ventilators, oxygen-supported beds, medicines और diagnostics सुनिश्चित करने पर जोर दिया।
Territorial Army ने Terrier Cyber Quest 2026 लॉन्च किया
Indian Army की Territorial Army ने CyberPeace के साथ मिलकर national-level hackathon Terrier Cyber Quest 2026 (TCQ 3.0) लॉन्च किया। इसका उद्देश्य defence, cybersecurity और information-domain challenges के लिए innovative technological solutions विकसित करना है।
Hackathon academia, industry, research institutions, government organisations और Armed Forces के technical talent को एक मंच पर लाने के लिए शुरू किया गया है।
Paradip Port पर करीब ₹427 करोड़ की सात परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन
Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ने Odisha के Paradip Port Authority में लगभग ₹427 करोड़ की सात major infrastructure projects का उद्घाटन किया।
