How to Calculate AFCAT Score

Count the total number of correct and incorrect responses after comparing your response sheet with the provisional answer key.

AFCAT Raw Score = (Correct Answers × 3) − (Incorrect Answers × 1)

Example

If a candidate has 60 correct answers, 20 incorrect answers and 20 unattempted questions:

  • Correct Answer Marks = 60 × 3 = 180
  • Negative Marks = 20 × 1 = 20
  • Tentative Raw Score = 180 − 20 = 160 Marks

Normalization: AFCAT uses a normalization procedure where applicable. Therefore, the raw score calculated from the answer key is only an estimate and may differ from the final normalized score.
