for approximately 480 vacancies. Eligible candidates can
submit their online applications from 16 September 2026 to 06 October 2026.

UPSC ESE 2027 Age Limit

- OBC (eligible for reservation): Up to 3 years relaxation

UPSC ESE 2027 Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the prescribed engineering qualification for
admission to the examination. The notification also specifies certain
recognized professional qualifications and limited subject-specific
alternatives for particular services.

Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) of the marks assigned
to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer in objective-type
papers. No penalty applies to unanswered questions.

- Matriculation / Secondary or accepted age proof certificate.
- Engineering educational qualification certificate or relevant documents.
- Category certificate, where applicable (SC / ST / OBC / EWS).
- Age relaxation or fee concession certificate, where applicable.
- PwBD certificate, where applicable.
- Valid photo ID details such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport or Driving Licence.

How to Apply Online for UPSC ESE 2027
- Visit the official UPSC online application portal.
- Create an account and complete Universal Registration (URN), if not already completed.
- Complete or verify your Common Application Form (CAF).
- Open the Engineering Services Examination 2027 application module and fill in the required details.
- Upload the required photograph, live photograph, signature and supporting documents as instructed.
- Pay the applicable fee, select the examination centre and engineering discipline, review all details and submit the application before the deadline.
- Save the submitted application details and Application Number for future reference.
Applications can be submitted online up to 06 October 2026 at 06:00 PM.
UPSC states that submitted applications cannot be withdrawn and that
corrections to submitted application fields are not allowed.
