BCECEB Senior Resident Eligibility 2026
Candidates must possess the prescribed postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject / specialty as mentioned in the official prospectus. Eligible postgraduate medical qualifications include the prescribed MD / MS / DNB qualifications for the relevant medical specialty. For dental posts, candidates must possess the prescribed postgraduate dental qualification in the relevant subject.
Important:
DNB / DNB Super Specialty qualifications are considered as per the
applicable NMC regulations. Candidates should check the official
prospectus for the exact subject-wise qualification before submitting
the application.
Important Eligibility Conditions
- The required postgraduate qualification must be in the concerned subject / specialty.
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable NMC / regulatory qualification requirements.
- Postgraduate diploma holders may be considered only when eligible postgraduate degree candidates are not sufficiently available, as per the prescribed merit rules.
- A postgraduate diploma candidate receives a prescribed 10-mark deduction in comparison with postgraduate degree candidates for merit purposes.
- Candidates who have already completed the prescribed three-year Senior Resident / Tutor tenure in the same subject are not eligible for reappointment to the same tenure post.
