12वीं BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting नई दिल्ली में आयोजित
भारत की BRICS Chairship 2026 के तहत 18 अगस्त को नई दिल्ली में 12वीं BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting आयोजित हुई। केंद्रीय पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री भूपेंद्र यादव ने BRICS देशों के Heads of Delegations के साथ चार knowledge compendiums जारी किए।
इन knowledge products में sustainable lifestyles, environmental practices, local knowledge systems और BRICS देशों के innovative solutions को संकलित किया गया है। भारत ने Mission LiFE और Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam जैसे initiatives के माध्यम से ecological restoration और public participation पर जोर दिया।
Defence Ministry ने छठी Positive Indigenisation List जारी की
Department of Defence Production ने 6th Positive Indigenisation List अधिसूचित की। इसमें 405 strategically important items शामिल हैं, जिनकी अनुमानित business potential लगभग ₹3,070 करोड़ है।
405 items में 389 Defence Public Sector Undertakings से संबंधित और 16 Indian Coast Guard से संबंधित हैं। List में Line Replaceable Units, sub-systems, components, spares और raw materials शामिल हैं। इसका उद्देश्य defence imports घटाना और indigenous manufacturing बढ़ाना है।
SEMICON India 2026 के पांचवें संस्करण की घोषणा
India Semiconductor Mission और SEMI ने 18 अगस्त को SEMICON India 2026 का programme घोषित किया। इसका पांचवां edition 17 से 19 सितंबर 2026 तक Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi में आयोजित होगा। Theme है “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”।
Semicon 1.0 के तहत कुल 12 semiconductor projects approved हैं, जिनमें से तीन commercial production शुरू कर चुके हैं। सरकार ने Semicon 2.0 को भी मंजूरी दी है। साथ ही 332 से अधिक academic institutes और 105 start-ups को advanced design tools उपलब्ध कराए गए हैं तथा 24 start-ups DLI Scheme के तहत approved हैं।
UIDAI ने 2 करोड़ से अधिक Mandatory Biometric Updates पूरे किए
UIDAI ने school children के लिए nationwide mission-mode drive में 2 करोड़ से अधिक Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) पूरे करने का milestone हासिल किया। यह अभियान लगभग 1.6 लाख schools तक पहुंचा है।
5 से 17 वर्ष आयु वर्ग के बच्चों के लिए Mandatory Biometric Update 30 सितंबर 2026 तक free रखा गया है।
NHAI ने Digital FASTag Local Pass को 121 Toll Plazas तक बढ़ाया
National Highways Authority of India ने online FASTag Local Pass facility को 121 toll plazas तक विस्तारित किया। Eligible commuters Rajmargyatra Mobile App के माध्यम से monthly local pass खरीद सकते हैं।
Eligible toll plaza के 20 km radius के भीतर रहने वाले residents इसके लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं। Verification में DigiLocker, VAHAN और GIS-based technology का उपयोग किया जाता है। पहला Digital Local Pass जुलाई 2026 में Delhi के Mundka-Bakkarwala Toll Plaza पर शुरू किया गया था।
PSB Confluence 2026 सात themes पर चर्चा के साथ संपन्न
Department of Financial Services द्वारा आयोजित दो दिवसीय PSB Confluence 2026 18 अगस्त को संपन्न हुआ। इसमें Public Sector Banks और Public Financial Institutions के लिए सात themes पर deliberations हुईं।
वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने PSBs से युवाओं के लिए 2 अक्टूबर 2026 से एक महीने का focused campaign चलाने को कहा। Youth को banking services और financial opportunities से जोड़ने के लिए common digital platform की परिकल्पना भी सामने रखी गई।
NCC का ‘Aparajita – Parang La 2026’ अभियान शुरू
रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने New Delhi से NCC की All India Girls High Altitude Long Trek “Aparajita – Parang La 2026” को flag off किया। अभियान में 28 Girl Cadets भाग ले रही हैं और team का नेतृत्व तीनों Services की women officers करेंगी।
यह लगभग 250 km और 30 दिन का trek है। Parang La Pass की ऊंचाई 5,578 metres है और यह Himachal Pradesh की Spiti Valley को Ladakh के Changthang region से जोड़ता है।
National Sports Awards 2025 की घोषणा
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports ने 18 अगस्त को National Sports Awards 2025 घोषित किए। कुल 17 sportspersons को Arjuna Award के लिए चुना गया है। इनमें Tejaswin Shankar, Priyanka Goswami, Treesa Jolly, Gayatri Gopichand, Vidit Santosh Gujrathi और Divya Deshmukh जैसे खिलाड़ी शामिल हैं।

Rishabh Pant ने Test Cricket में 100 छक्कों का रिकॉर्ड बनाया
18 अगस्त को Sri Lanka के खिलाफ Galle Test के दौरान Rishabh Pant Test cricket में 100 sixes लगाने वाले पहले भारतीय बने। वह यह उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाले दुनिया के चौथे बल्लेबाज हैं।
